This is a great question that many schools & organizations are asking themselves, and rightfully so. Organizations often spend a nice portion of their fiscal resources on equity & inclusion programs, paying thousands of dollars to "DEI" consultants that yield little to no improvement in organizational equity outcomes.
Overpriced "DEI" consultants intentionally evade the "elephants in the room" that are difficult to discuss but are the root causes of inequities that impact employee/student recruitment & retention, organizational climate & culture, and employee performance/student achievement.
Effective equity coaching recognizes that racism and access are pervasive problems that must be addressed to create truly inclusive schools and organizations that thrive in a diverse society. Thrive for everyone.
